Direct thermal or thermal transfer, labels and ribbons

Whether you need a desktop or industrial Zebra label printer in Saudi Arabia, most models come as direct thermal or thermal transfer. This choice decides which labels you buy and how long they last.

Direct thermal

Prints on heat-sensitive labels with no ribbon. Simple and low maintenance. Good for shipping labels and receipts. Labels can fade with heat and sunlight.

Thermal transfer

Uses a ribbon to transfer ink onto the label. Labels last longer and resist heat, rubbing and chemicals. Good for asset tags and product labels.

Labels and ribbons

Labels must match the printer width, core size and print method. Ribbons (wax, wax-resin or resin) must match the label material. We supply both, plus RFID tags.

Print resolution

203 dpi suits most shipping and barcode labels. 300 dpi gives sharper text and small barcodes. 600 dpi (ZT411, ZT610) is for very small labels such as electronic components.

Not sure which label or ribbon you need? Send a photo of your current label or printer model on WhatsApp and we will match it.

Where Saudi companies use Zebra printers

Zebra printers are used in warehouses, ports, factories, hospitals and shops across the Kingdom. Typical jobs include:

Warehouses and logistics

Pallet, carton, bin location and picking labels printed from the WMS.

Shipping labels

Courier labels printed straight from your order or e-commerce system.

Retail

Price tags and shelf labels, printed in the back office or on the shop floor.

Healthcare

Specimen, lab and pharmacy labels, with healthcare models that use disinfectant-ready plastics.

Manufacturing

Work-in-process, serial number and compliance labels, with 600 dpi options for small parts.

Asset tagging

Durable thermal transfer or RFID tags for IT equipment, tools and fixed assets.

Integration with your ERP, WMS and label software

Zebra printers use ZPL, Zebra’s printer language, which most ERP, WMS and shipping systems can send directly. Windows drivers are available for normal printing from any application.

Our engineers connect and test real labels before go-live:

  • ERP and WMS printing: printing from your ERP or WMS (for example SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or Odoo) via ZPL or drivers. We agree the connection method with your system provider.
  • Label design: ZebraDesigner 3 templates with barcodes, text and variable data.
  • Network setup: Ethernet or Wi-Fi, fixed IP addresses and print queues.
  • RFID encoding: setup and calibration of UHF RFID printers and tags for asset and inventory tracking.

Zebra scanners and mobile computers

We also supply Zebra barcode scanners and Android mobile computers, so your team can print, scan and update stock.

TC series touch computers

Frequently asked questions

Do you supply genuine Zebra printers in Saudi Arabia?

Yes. We supply genuine Zebra printers, scanners, mobile computers and consumables through authorised distributors in Saudi Arabia, and our engineers install and support them.

Should I choose direct thermal or thermal transfer?

Choose direct thermal for shipping labels and receipts, because it needs no ribbon. Choose thermal transfer for labels that must last, such as asset tags and labels exposed to heat, sunlight or chemicals.

Which print resolution do I need?

203 dpi is enough for most shipping and barcode labels. Choose 300 dpi for small text, logos and small barcodes. 600 dpi, available on the ZT411 and ZT610, is for very small labels such as electronic components.

Can a Zebra printer print from our ERP or WMS?

Yes. Zebra printers understand ZPL, which most ERP, WMS and shipping systems can send directly, and Windows drivers are available for other applications. Our engineers set up and test printing from your system.

Do you supply Zebra labels and ribbons?

Yes. We supply labels, ribbons and RFID tags matched to your printer model, label size and print method.

Our old Zebra printer is discontinued. What replaces it?

Zebra lists replacements for its end-of-service models. For example, the GK420d and GK420t are replaced by the ZD230 or ZD421, the ZD420 by the ZD421 and the ZT410 and ZT420 by the ZT411 and ZT421. We check your label formats on the new model.

Which Zebra printers can print RFID labels?

RFID versions or options are available on the ZD611 and ZD621 desktop printers, the ZT231, ZT411, ZT421, ZT610 and ZT620 industrial printers, and the ZQ630 RFID Plus mobile printer. They encode UHF RFID tags while printing the label.
