Waves Telecom designs backup and ransomware recovery in Saudi Arabia that you can actually restore from: servers, Microsoft 365, files and applications, with copies attackers cannot delete. It is for any company that cannot afford to lose days of work or data.
Ransomware does not just lock your files. Attackers now look for your backups first and delete or encrypt them, so you have no choice but to pay. Many companies only discover that their backup is broken, incomplete or too old on the day they need it. Good backup and ransomware recovery means three things: copies attackers cannot reach, restores you have tested, and a plan everyone knows.
We have worked in cybersecurity for 10 years, and we build backup as part of your security, not as a separate box in the corner. This page also covers disaster recovery: how fast you get your systems back after a fire, a hardware failure or an attack.

The NCA's NCNICC-1:2025 controls for private companies include backup restoration testing (control 2-9-1-2). In plain words: having a backup is not enough; you should regularly prove you can restore from it. Aramco's SACS-210 standard for CCC suppliers and the NCA's ECC also expect working backup and recovery.
Restore tests also protect you commercially. If an auditor, a big customer or your insurer asks whether you can recover, you can show dated test records instead of a promise.

We list your servers, applications, Microsoft 365 data and file shares, and agree how much data you can afford to lose and how fast you must be back.
At least three copies, on two types of storage, with one offsite. Key copies are immutable, so they cannot be changed or deleted.
We install the backup system, separate backup accounts from normal admin accounts, and protect access with MFA.
We restore files, mailboxes and full servers on a schedule and record the results as evidence.
A short disaster recovery plan: who does what, in which order, and how to reach each other when systems are down.
We watch backup jobs, fix failures quickly and send you a simple monthly status report.
Physical and virtual servers, databases and line-of-business applications, with fast full-server restore.
Exchange Online mail, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams. Microsoft keeps the service running, but protecting your data is your job.
Copies that cannot be edited or deleted for a set period, stored away from your main site.
Recovery plans and failover options so critical systems come back in hours, not days.
Long-term storage of old mail and files for legal, audit and customer requirements.
Dated test reports you can show auditors for NCA, PDPL and Aramco CCC reviews.
Microsoft protects the service and keeps it running, but recovery of deleted or encrypted data is limited by retention settings. If a user or an attacker deletes mail or files, you may not get them back after that period. A separate Microsoft 365 backup gives you your own copy.
It is a copy that cannot be changed or deleted until a set retention time has passed, even by an administrator. If attackers steal admin passwords, they still cannot wipe it. This is one of the most effective defences against ransomware.
We recommend testing file and mailbox restores monthly and a full server restore at least every quarter. Critical systems may need more frequent tests. Every test is recorded so you have evidence for audits.
Yes. We can design backups on your own site, at a second site you own, or with in-Kingdom storage. We help you choose based on your data residency and customer requirements.
Backup is having copies of your data. Disaster recovery is the plan and setup to get your whole business running again, including servers, network and people. We cover both, which is why the old Disaster Recovery service now lives on this page.
That depends on the recovery targets we agree during design and on how much data you have. With local immutable copies, critical servers can often be back within hours. The DR plan sets the order, so the systems your business needs most come back first.
Yes. We review your current setup, test a restore and tell you honestly whether it would survive a ransomware attack. Often small changes, like an offsite immutable copy, make a big difference.
Book a backup check. We review your setup, test a restore and give you a short list of fixes.
